vieWTerra Base
vieWTerra Base is a set of combined whole Earth mosaics, including Antarctica, available in GeoTIFF and/or vieWTerra Platform format:
- 15m RGB mosaic: built from Landsat GeoCover 2000 false-colour
data (7,4,2 channels). Resampled to 29m in vieWTerra Platform format.
An entirely cloud-free version 2 of the RGB mosaic has been finalised
in 2017.
- 90m global DEM mosaic: derives from best available data, allowing to make up for the missing data in the SRTM version and provide for more accurate coastal regions. Also offers global 90m bathymetric data (resampled from the original 928m SRTM Plus data, including 90m and 180m precise data over certain seas, islands and coastlines in the North hemisphere).
- 29m global Land Cover mosaic: based on various sources (USGS GLC 2000, Corine, Global Forest Change, SRTM Water Body). Includes percentage of forest cover information, and allows to accurately locate all water bodies.
